I do not think it is necessary to add some colours to the bubbles. The complicated form is good enough to be ornaments. I choose simple white colour as the bubbles colour which is good choice to extend the space colour.
The materials apply on the bubbles could be gesso. Especially for the ceilling design. They are too high to reach, so do not worry about the problem of breakable. The quility of gesso is nice to show elegance and refinement.
I have to control the radius of the bubbles well of the side wall or even try a soft material. I need to think more carefully about people walking under the dark. The wall is not totally flat, if the wall is too waved,too hard that could be so dangerous to hurt.
