The theory of the motorcycle shadow is similar as the game I played as a child. I use my figures and hands to simulate varied of animals.
The common ground of the children game and the artist work is they both use the irrelevant materials to create the shadow of object we see.
The difference between two works is the angle of the light comes from. It's easier to image the shape from the front side, but not many people will think the shape from the top view.
The artist is handle varying in shape when seen from different angles very well. It is also means we can possible to construct a irregulary shaped that looks meaningful from only one angle.
